Our congregation and parish are served by two full-time pastors, Rev. Emily Shipman and Rev. Zachariah Shipman. They were installed in our parish July 13th, 2014. They were married in 2011 and have two children: Sophie Sue and Theo Nathanial. Both are Masters of Divinity graduates of Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. Pastor Emily grew up in Minnesota and lived and served with local ministries in Zambia and New Zealand. Pastor Zachariah moved around a lot with a father who served in the Air Force, and, in 2017, we celebrated with Zachariah living the longest he’s ever lived in one place: 3.5 years. The clergy couple served their internships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and were hospital chaplains in Grand Forks (Zach) and St. Joseph, Missouri (Emily). Zach and Emily enjoy the outdoors, cycling, rock climbing, talking about God with people, and travel. Zach enjoys playing guitar and singing, reading, video games, and exercise. Emily likes puzzles, table top games, reading, and lakes. An important truth of the gospel they hope for you to hear is this: that the image of God is within each person (that includes you), and we pray you come to know God’s great love for you more and more each day.
